Awkward? Or Pokemon logic?AxStapleton wrote:New Pokemon revealed (sort of, no official trailer), probably Steel/Ghost. No English name as yet. French name is Monorpale.
*snip*
It'll be awkward if it can't learn Swords Dance.
Re: The Pokemon Thread (dun-dun-duhhh!)
English name is Honedge
German name is Gramokles
I'm kinda disappointed that we didn't get Hexcalibur for the English name. Hopefully they are saving that name for an evolution.
According the Gamespot article, it CAN learn Swords Dance.

Haunter is so much better looking than gengar. I don't regret never evolving one.

Mega Evolutions O_O
Some of those pokemon really needed something, especially Mawile (Huge Power AND Steel/Fairy? yes please)

Sooo... the jokes about mewtwo going super saiyan were correct? I'm really not sure what to feel about this.
If it was just a new way to add evolutions to one stage mons it'd be alright but Ampharos is included in the revealed so far list.
Maybe they all become dual fairy or something, based on the pics and one being confirmed to.

Well, normal Ampharos isn't exactly a great pokemon, so maybe the switch will give it the stat readjustment it needs to be halfway decent.RavenEyry wrote:Sooo... the jokes about mewtwo going super saiyan were correct? I'm really not sure what to feel about this.

Re: The Pokemon Thread (dun-dun-duhhh!)
Calling it 'evolution' was a bit of a strange idea because they're clearly all designed as super saiyan versions of the normal form rather than a completely new mon.

Re: The Pokemon Thread (dun-dun-duhhh!)
More info on mega's is out. Yeah, it's definitely super saiyan mode. A valid mon holding the right stone can transform mid combat. Think Terra's esper form in FFVI.
Also fire is resistant to fairy apparently, and you get given a mewtwo with it's mega stone at some point, though that may be a download event rather than a main game thing.

That's good that fire resists fairy. They needed to throw fire a bone.RavenEyry wrote:More info on mega's is out. Yeah, it's definitely super saiyan mode. A valid mon holding the right stone can transform mid combat. Think Terra's esper form in FFVI.

So I'll have an extra button to press when I actually want battles? I don't like it, avoiding them was the way to go if you don't want battles.

Because trainers were always placed in obvious positions where it was completely clear on how to bypass them, and they were never placed in positions where it was utterly impossible to avoid them.RavenEyry wrote:So I'll have an extra button to press when I actually want battles?
