Ok, here goes:

I finally finished the whole game 100% (got all scenes in library, prob got all the pictures in the gallery, got all tracks in jukebox and read through all the stories with all endings). And I don't quite know what to say...

The first route I got was Emi's and I ended up with the good ending. I really liked that route.

Never actually liked Shizune, and her route somehow felt like very little actually happened other than the general rambling storytelling of the route. This route seemed to have the least amount of feels of all.

Rin's route was nice overall, and despite being described as the single route most difficult to understand, I still really kind of felt connected in many ways (I'm a composer myself).

Lilly's route was waaay better than i expected, way more down to earth than what could be deduced from when you first encounter her in Act 1. Overall it was very well written, with the ending certainly carefully thought through.

Hanako was the last that I did (left it the last intentionally, because I had heard that hers and Emi's routes had "most feels" in them), and it really paid off. I really liked that one too, although the ending kind of reminded me a little bit of Mass Effect 3's one. Hanako really started to genuinely open up only during the latter half of the last Act, and even though the ending worked (unlike ME's one without the IT), so much was only implied that I still got a little sad. I would have liked to see them a bit more after the good ending confession, if only as an epilogue as in Lilly's route, maybe only merely exchanging a couple of deep, affectionate hugs to just get to see Hanako reaching true happiness and comfort. Other than that, it was a very good story.

After all that I have a really hard time deciding which one of the routes is the best. Before Hanako playthrough I was so certain that Emi's route was the best, but now I can't decide which one of the two ultimately gets the first place. Emi certainly has many merits; she is so positive of a person and I liked the structure and resolution of her route very much, but Hanko on the other hand is way more beautiful both by the looks and as a person and has some aspects similar to myself ( I'm not much of a people's person myself and being rather shy, as you probably have noticed on these forums, I tend to spend much time by myself).

Maybe I should play at least those two routes through again now that I have seen all the routes, and see if my point of view has changed a bit (it has been ages since I finished Emi's route), and then try to think again.

But overall, a very good game (or a visual novel, however you want to put it) and one I liked very much. Thank you Byne for introducing it to me. Smile

Hooray, I'm glad you liked it! I still have the same problem with deciding between Emi and Hanako (I can't), though for my second favourite in my case.

All of the routes have their strengths and flaws, same goes for the girls. The favourite to each one of us depends on what we value more :) . This sounded actually stupider then I wished.
Anyway it's the same for me CaptainSlow, Hanako's my favourite one day and the next it's Emi, it all depends on my mood.

I hadn't considered making my Spartan IV based off KS (currently have it based off something else), but that looks really cool and I may try that.

Also, welcome to the fandom CaptainSlow.

You can't do a whole lot to make them different from each other. The armour minus the helmet should be what I did (most feminine possible, if not it's fairly hard to tell what they are), while the helmet is just whatever you think looks good. The colours are White/Olive to be the Yamaku uniform, so that only leaves the visor colour to show who it is, there aren't a lot of those, and some helmets don't even have a visor. I think there's a purple visor, but it's in one of the Specializations.

The most feminine-looking armour is Soldier chest & both shoulders with Contoured wrists & legs.

ME3 MP is far easier to make them in.

Don't worry. I have the purple visor and there's a couple other feminine-looking armor pieces so they won't look identical.

Sounds right. It'l be cool when we ever eventually do Spartan Ops that all of our team will have the same paintsceme just like real Spartan Fireteams. Joyful

I'll hopefully be on a lot very soon, as Banshee got the cables I needed ordered for me Magic! Now he just needs to hurry up and finish Spartan Ops too Tongue

So, initial impressions of K-On! characters: Yui is like Misha, Mugi is like Lilly with a bit of Rin, Mio is like Hanako with Shizune's "focus and get the job done" half, and Ritsu is like Emi with Shizune's ambitious half. Also, Nodoka is very much like Shizune both in appearance, being on the Student Council, and being the Straight Man role to Yui's Wise Guy role, just like Shizune and Misha.

Nodoka is voiced by Laura Bailey in the English version? Wat

Thank you Selim, the warm welcome is much appreciated.

Byne wrote:Also, Emi is best girl.

Right now I'm kind of torn between Hanako and Emi, maybe partially because Hanako does have a lot of the qualities that I too find in myself, such as a generally shy nature (although Hanako kind of takes it to the extremes) and a tendency to avoid masses of people, especially if there isn't a chance to blend in it as a complitely anonymous entity. I have to play the routes again at some point to see if I experience them differently now that I have read through every route once and have gotten to see the different point of view of each of them.

As a sidenote, it's kind of dissappointing though that the Nurse's color is... well, white, because all the texts in this forum are white by default. I partly feel like denied of the possibility of using the color my avatar is seen in the game with. Hmm, maybe I should just bold everything I write here in this thread then, like this. Tongue

But anyway, once again glad to be here as part of this community.

P. S. Any chance to get a Nurse emote, as you guys already have all your girls emoted? Whistling

I mean, we already have all the girls, so why not make an emoticon out of all the charachters in KS?

Just for this thread if disruptive elsewhere, of course. Grin

EDIT: Or at least the most important charachters (Nurse being counted as one in my books)

I have Emi, Rin, Shizune, Hanako, Lilly and Misha, look on page 1

Might do some others if you give me a list of characters you consider to be "important" Wink

I would consider Nurse, Akira, Kenji, and Mutou to be the most important characters that we dont have icons for.

Me too.

Edit: Actually on second thought, what is the case with Yuuko and Nomiya? Isn't at least Yuuko to be considered as a character with enough importance to warrant an emoticon out of those two for appearing in all of the routes, with Nomiya also being very prominently presented in Rin's story (although, admitted, possibly not in a role big enough to be made into an emoticon)?
