Have you noticed how fast BSN got rid out of IT threads?

Post by SZKSYPCZE on Mon Feb 11, 2013 6:24 pm

Franky speaking, I'm shocked how fast they managed to do that. Was it 3 or 4 weeks?? It looks like all the ITers left BSN. No one even mentions IT. On the contrary. All the other theories and interpretations flourish. Mostly stupid ones.

Well, it seems that we have been pushed underground, like some kind of resistance. I hope this means that sth BIG is coming our way.

Yeah, we did notice. Big time. Its why this place existed.

Regardless of reason, the methods used are unacceptable. Which is why all insults directed at Chris Priestly (and his toady Ninja Stan) are 100% endorsed by me.

The man is probably just doing his job.

Not that I approve of what they did, but still.

I think they want people to think IT is wrong. (Not to forget about IT, but to think it's just a fan theory)

Duh...... I'm aware why THIS place exists. What I wanted to say was how fast they managed to do that and how many people surrender to what they say. It's frightening. All those people getting indoctrinated only by the means of WORDS. It's not like BW is using mass effect style indoctrination. They only write words and stil so many people follow them.

no sympathy for any of those fuckwits on BSN. It was outrageous the way ITers were treated on BSN, and when the shitstorm happened BSN died in my eyes. Only post there now to wind up literalists and trolls like seival and hanar.

Yeah, BSN is dead to me.

I really don't understand why people keep making threads there and go arguing with obnoxious people.

Whatever their intentions, it's simply bad customer relations. If IT isn't proven true soon I'll feel much less compelled to get any future BioWare games.

Well yeah. For now I'm running with the idea that this is all some kind of elaborate ruse. If that is not actually the case, their loss.

I have faith though.

We're getting so many mixed messages. Something's definitely up.

BSN has the worst moderating I've ever seen in a discussion-forum.

I actually think they locked IT threads out of laziness, for the most part. Less READAN for them.

Same deal with the character forum. Take it to groups? g0oBy pl0xx.

There are still BSNers willing to chanllenge the trolls, and literalist. I for one can't let them stay on the BSN, and be slowly corrupted into believe control, and synthesis are art/ good endings. Which is why I wrote the declaration, and pm anyone who has the potental, or the athourity/ the backbone to question ME3/ at least consider IT valid.

One of the writers who worked for Bioware referred to the BSN as an increasingly "toxic environment".

So sayeth teh wise Doomsday! Tongue

More seriously though, I just don't see how Bioware would:

- Let Shepard discover the Reaper threat
- Let Shepard stop Sovereign
- Let Shepard stop the building of the human Reaper
- Let Shepard delay the arrival of the Reapers
- Let Shepard unite the galaxy to fight the Reapers
- Let Shepard beat indoctrination

Only to have some random character X take over from Shep to finish the Reapers off.

It. Does. Not. Make. Sense.

This is the point where the hero is at his/her lowest.

Next comes the part when (s)he rises from ashes and starts kicking Reaper ass.

If the Reapers aren't done, then neither is Shepard.

There's no reason to believe Shepard would stop fighting, other than what Bioware is saying.

We say 'lies' when they say "No post ending DLC", yet we believe them when they say "Shepard is over".

Wut?

One more story about the Shepard, right?

Even after having played allllllll the DLC for ME3, even DLC that comes after the breath scene, Stargazer will still be there after the credits, saying "one more story".

Which, IMO, suggests another game. Not just DLC.

Actually as I have said before, we do not know what state Shepard will be in even if he/she beats Indoctrination.

Indoctrination as we know it is a very permanent process, only getting worse and worse after it takes hold. Some things might be able to cancel out the effect (Hiveminds) but the effect lingers as confirmed by both the Rachni Queen and Shiala still hearing Reaper voices even if said voices have no effect on them.

So even if Shepard beats Indoctrination once, who is to say he might not fall later? Maybe he/she realizes just how close he/she was to falling. This could necessitate Shepard stepping of the front line and continue leading the fight from a safe distance as to not fall.

This would mean someone has to step into his/her shoes on the front line even if Shepard is still around.

But that is just an idea of how it can be, I myself do believe Shepard will be the one to finish of the Reaper war and the new hero is for a new story.

MarkIII was too large, no argument here. And everyone was expecting some kind of lockdown.

They could have locked it with the message that monster-threads are not allowed on the BSN and that the threads should be more on-topic. The off-topic socializing element could be done in the groups.
In the end you would have a MarkIV with a few posts with actual new content and the off-topic stuff could have happened in the groups.

But noooo.... that would have been too hard to do /Turian Groundskeeper

What happened to the Romance Forum was just a precedent for this. Just bad community management.

I've seen other moderators, where they don't strictly enforce the rules or side with the trolls, because the moderator and the troll are buddies. Even though someone would launch a personal attack on you, they'd just go "grow some thick skin" or something like that.
