I've recently played Dishonered and it was the best game I've played since ME3. Very good game if you like being stealthy.

Baiten Kaitos, 2 disc JRPG for the Gamecube with a very peculiar and whimsical world and a fantastic turn and card based battle system. Also features a great twist near the start of disc 2. Never finished the game though and that is what I am out to do now.
Also just finished Kid Icarus: Uprising for the 3DS. Funniest game I have played in years as almost every moment of the game is punctuated by hilarious banter between Pit and the various gods, demi gods, monsters and other strange creatures of the world. This is only made more fun by the fact that the game has no fourth wall what so ever frequently referencing stuff outside the game.
The story itself is also completely ludicrous. Though it starts out pretty simple for the first 9 chapters, after that it becomes a neverending rollercoaster ride of twists and turn, including an alien invasion at one point...hilarious right up until the end.
And then I am also replaying Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.
That game is single handlely responsible for teaching me to deal with time pressure. Even so after all these years I still hate the final day of the game (unless I am heading directly for the final boss) as I really dont like time pressure...

Sweden. I've already taken Western Russia and almost finished conquering Denmark's lands. Poland-Lithuania is my next target, but it will be a doozy. They already conquered Prussia and most of Austria.

I have a Prussia (Germany now, I changed it into a republic) campaign where I've already conquered all of Europe, about half of India, and am starting to attack the USA.Hrothdane wrote:estebanus wrote:What nation are you playing as in Empire?Hrothdane wrote:I'm playing Dragon's Dogma and trying to finally finish a campaign in Empire: Total War.

I have a Prussia campaign on my old computer that is bogged-down fighting in Eastern Europe. I decided to go with Sweden this time because I was listening to an album about that time period.

Torchlight 2 (on occasion. I've got a level 100 Berserker, NG+5). Gear is okay.

Re: The other games thread...
Played Lv 1-15 (almost all hearts) for Sylvari in Guild Wars 2.
Like always, I'm torn with it. It's so awesome in some ways, but so tiresome in others. And I'm only in the beginning -_-
The exploration/vistas/skill points stuff fits my obsessive behavior with completing stuff in zones in MMOs though. I'll always be annoyed about missing dynamic quests, but I'll push that annoyance away well enough, as long as I can see the huge events in the zones :)

Re: The other games thread...
I played GW2 since pre-order release but, for my part, it got boring after a couple of months. I've gotten bored of the seemingly endless grind on MMOs over the past few years. Right now I'm planning to run through Witcher 1 and 2 since I heard good things about it. I've been playing Saints Row The Third here and there but it's not something to keep me occupied for long. There's other games I'm going to try out though, just finished Max Payne 3 the other day. I'm probably going to do another full play through of ME1,2,3 sometime since I wanted to make some videos.

Re: The other games thread...
TBH playing Guild Wars 2, even though it's a beautiful game on max graphics, it just made me miss the better story and feeling I get from The Secret World. And not a trace of grind in that game except in Nightmare dungeon grinding (in PvE).

I've tried 3 MMOs and basically they've been either a grind fest or a pay2win game with cash shops. I know that doesn't count for all MMOs but I'm going to stick to SP games, maybe some MP here and there but mostly I'm content with SP. MMOs sometimes require a lot of free time also.

The good thing for a frequently-playing gamer is that 'investing' (wasting?) time on 1-2 games can be a hell of a lot cheaper than even a dozen SP games (at full price) per year.
Depends on the games etc etc, I know.
And well, I already said that TSW only has the dungeon grind in the end if you wish (it's not enforced through mechanics like a game like WoW is), and the cash shop isn't at all P2W.

Re: The other games thread...
I haven't been playing a lot of SP games though so it's fine on my end. I had hoped for a Max Payne 3 for so many years and well.. LOL they finally made one but the story was beyond generic but it was still fun to play through once. The Witcher is one I had intended on playing but just never got around to. Now days I mainly play games with a good story since I don't play near as many as I used to, just not enough free time for it.
