Arian's Back!
I arise! A figure from your distant past to give you hope of my second coming, only to dash it as I flee, leaving you confused and distraught!
Naw, kidding actually, just was looking for an ok place to say hello, see how everyone's doing, and let people know that I'm not actually dead.

Oh well you have been dead for two years I think. Spent about 6 billion credits just to bring you back. Welcome back though. Though you are the 127 people that have returned since last night XD.

No one thought this day would come, those I suppose in hindsight it was inevitable. The great one's return would have been predicted by prophecies if such things actually existed in real life. With his return, a new era of speculations, discussions, and off topic randomness shall begin.
...
Now everyone reread that in Max von Sydow's Skyrim trailer voice. Welcome back, Arian.

Ech, in my case I've made my peace with speculations. I honestly think I have it figured out. It hit me when I realized that Mass Effect was based off of Sci Fi movies. If ME1 was the Sci-Fi of the 80's, complete with film grain, then ME2 was the 90's and ME3 was current, including IPOD sensibilities and J.J. Abrams lens flare then they're trying to pull from the movies they loved in more ways than one.
Much like Total Recall, Minority Report, Bladerunner, Solaris, Brazil, Johnny Mnemonic, The Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind and more, those movies tell a complete story, give a somewhat definite ending, and some resolution, BUT they also have space for artistic interpretation about the events; Did Quaid really have all that stuff happen to him, or is he lying lombotomized in the Recall clinic? Was Deckard a Replicant? Did John Anderton experience the practically storybook ending as he was being put into the device, or did it really happen? That kind of stuff. I don't think they ever wanted to answer the question from the get go; like an art house science film, they wanted people to do art house science film dissection, but most weren't down for that, and even we were expecting more.
More might be nice, and more might be cool depending on how they go about it, but when it comes right on down to it, I am perfectly happy even if I don't get more. That's part of why I haven't been back.

Aaariaaan! I knew this day would come eventually, good to have you back!
Come to chat once in a while, still the best place on this entire forum
Also I now gotta think about adding you as Quest-NPC into my lil' RPG, I may need to reread the stuff you posted in the Inkling thread...
(Your NPC will talk walls of text of course, wouldn't be Arian without that)

What are you on about? Byne never left.
With his return, a new era of speculations, discussions, and off topic randomness shall begin.
Oh God. Because you start the five knuckle shuffle over his 'speculations,' might I point out that the old ones you used to glee over didn't pan out into anything?
What happened when multiplayer got to Earth? You guys used to goddamn worship that "when we pass Earth in MP, stuff will happen" theory. And what happened? Not a damn thing happened. They just stopped supporting the game. There was no "rescue Shepard," MP never mattered, nothing ever came of those (literal) easter eggs in Vancouver.

IDGAF.
Yeah, IDGAF about your 10 minute return either. Unfortunately, one person not giving a fuck doesn't mean things don't get said. So, deal.
Is this the part where you say you haven't been on because "I have a life" and imply that half hour a week on a website means you're a basement dwelling troll? If I can go grab a coke during that absurd, self-superior crap of yours then that'd be great.

Rifneno, leave or I WILL ban you. I started off pre-sick and tired of you; part of why I left is you, and I really don't have to deal with your bitter aggression. The site would be improved with your absence.

You will do no such thing without the other admins having a say in the matter.
Everyone please stop with the bickering, I don't want to close the thread.

Re: Arian's Back!
Both just need to learn to like each other to some common grounds. This never was a problem until we got to this site. If we can put our differences aside, then so can the both.

Oh fuck me, another fight? Having some peace on this forum seems like too much to ask for sometimes
I finished writing that quest by now, but there's a followup-quest in my head, so expect some more

Re: Arian's Back!
I like Rif. Why???
Cause he doesn't give a flying fuck. He doesn't care if I like him, he could give 2 shits. And also, he calls it like he see's it. And most of the time. He's right. Most rif, I mean bro, sometimes you're a bit... Um... What's the word??? Over zealous. But you're a GOAT for sure. For sure.
And welcome back Mr. Dynas, I don't know if I've ever conversed with you. Hello.
