Built-in DRM meaning what, in this case?

Sony itself is not putting any restrictions on used games, and the system does not require connection to the Internet. Publishers can come up with their own DRM rules as they do right now.

Rofl

Love the Kinects being launched!

But yeah...seems like, the way it stands now, the PS4 already won for gamers. Maybe the XBone will score with the 'casual' users.

Sony's got them by the balls, they'd better be changing the Xbox one's restrictions otherwise they'll be annihilated.

Wow. That's much better than the sloppy 5 minute job I had seen in my head. You even reworded it so the Joker's name was removed. You never fail to impress, Nor. *brofist*

I was all for xbone but I've gotten to the point where I don't care. PS4 will be free online and the only games I play can be for both systems. I use Netflix a lot, which is on PS as well?

Might be leaning towards sony on this one

I get it if people aren't excited about the TV stuff (or multitasking for that matter) that they focused on in the reveal...but they talked about very little else in detail...sure they talked about the number of servers that are going to be helping to bring LIVE to the console, but they haven't even confirmed that they will be moving away from "points" to a simpler "dollar" format yet. There is so much that we don't know about either console - I find it hard to make a definitive judgement either way...my hope is that things will be much clearer after E3, but who knows.

This is actually a decent read...it explains a little bit more about some of the issues that have come up. I think that it gives a very fair explanation for some of the things and even hints at features that could be very exciting (transferring game to a friend, anyone?)...

Edit: I guess that its the same article - just straight from the source rather than second hand. Given the information, I am not sure why the reaction would be "lmfao"...

Ok, not sure if I missed it or if my eglish failed me, but does the article mention anything about lending the disk to a friend and him being able to play it?

Yes...and its "allowed", "will be supported"...they even hinted that you might be able totransfer a game to your friend digitally...I believe that it is in the section about "game licensing".

oh well, then I think I may not have that much problem with the xbox one now.
I still dont like having to connect to the internet every 24hours to play games though. Not sure if I´ll always have good connection in the future.

Did you see the great news!?!? You can still watch live TV and enjoy Blu-ray and DVD movies!!!!, but not games ¬¬

Also by transfer do they mean "give" or "lend"? I ask because one of the conditions is "only one time"

My guess is give...and that it means that the title can be transferred once digitally...you buy it, complete it and then can give it to a friend. Once that happens that title's "one digital transfer" has been used and can not be transferred again...at least that's what I took from it. And it sounds like the being able to play games offline thing is actually going to be left up to developer's...I think that what they are getting at, is that if a game needs constant updates to the world (think MMO's here) then you can only play offline for so long before the title needs to update...but if it is just a SP title you can play it offline all you want...again, this is how I interpert it and I could be wrong. As I said, in my original post there is enough information there that I think you can start to put together how things might work...a great example, Destiny (which Bungie is advertising as a "evolving world") I could see as a title that will need that connection (so that it keeps up with the updates).
