Indoctrination Songs Empty Indoctrination Songs

Post by Guest Sat Aug 31, 2013 10:12 pm

Figured this would be a good place to put it, and be properly 'on topic' :D

Post here any songs/pieces that you feel fits your view of Mass Effect's hidden story, whether it be IT or anything else, as long as it isn't related to 'literalism' (as in, the 'on the face story' - please no Garrus tribute songs or power rock just for the sake of it).

If you find the lyrics good for it, please post those too! Bold anything you find especially fitting.

I'll start off:

Celldweller - Gift For You (Net Affection Remix)

Hello again
I still try to remember how this all began
You can't undo

It's okay though because I've got a gift for you

Poison in the well - I've got a gift for you
A special place in hell - I've got a gift for you
the perfect place to dwell - I've got a gift for you
and though they're not as nice as the ones you gave to me, I hope that they will do

Hello again
I still can't remember how this all began
One thing left to do
So I'm here now and I've got a gift for you

Poison in the well - I've got a gift for you
A special place in hell - I've got a gift for you
the perfect place to dwell - I've got a gift for you
and though they're not as nice as the ones you gave to me, I hope that they will do

Sickness for the skin - I've got a gift for you
a cancer for within - I've got a gift for you
an ending to begin - I've got a gift for you
and though they're not as nice as the ones you gave to me, I hope that they will do

I hear voices in my head
They talk to me
They understand
They talk to me

You got your rules and your religion
All designed to keep you safe
But when rules start getting broken
You start questioning your faith

I have a voice that is my savior
Hates to love and loves to hate
I have a voice that has the knowledge
And the power to rule your fate

I hear voices crying
I see heroes dying
I taste blood that's drying
I feel tension rising

I hear voices in my head
They counsel me
They understand
They talk to me (x2)

They tell me things that I will do
They show me things I'll do to you
They talk to me(talk to me x3)[x2]

All the lawyers are defenseless
All the doctors are disease
And the preachers' are the sinners
And police just take the grease

All you judges you are guilty
All the bosses I will fire
All your bankers will have losses
Politicians are all the liars

I see darkness falling
I hear voices calling
I feel justice crawling
I see faith has fallen

I hear voices in my head
They counsel me
They understand
They talk to me (x2)

They tell me things that I will do
They show me things I'll do to you
They talk to me (talk to me x3)

I hear voices crying
I see heroes dying
I taste blood that's drying
I fell tension rising

I hear voices in my head
They counsel me
They understand
They talk to me (x2)

They tell me things that I will do
They show me things I'll do to you
They talk to me (talk to me x3)

Indoctrination Songs Empty Re: Indoctrination Songs

Post by RavenEyry Sun Sep 01, 2013 9:02 am

Obvious one since it was used in the viral marketing, but London Calling: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfK-WX2pa8c

"London calling to the faraway towns
Now war is declared and battle come down
London calling to the underworld
Come out of the cupboard, you boys and girls

London calling, now don't look to us
Phony Beatlemania has bitten the dust
London calling, see we ain't got no swing
'Cept for the reign of that truncheon thing

The ice age is coming, the sun's zooming in
Meltdown expected, the wheat is growing thin
Engines stop running but I have no fear
'Cause London is burning and I live by the river

London calling to the imitation zone
Forget it brother, you can go at it alone
London calling to the zombies of death
Quit holding out and draw another breath

London calling and I don't wanna shout
But while we were talking I saw you nodding out
London calling, see we ain't got no high
Except for that one with the yellowy eyes

The ice age is coming, the sun's zooming in
Engines stop running, the wheat is growing thin
A nuclear error but I have no fear
'Cause London is drowning and I, I live by the river

The ice age is coming, the sun's zooming in
Engines stop running, the wheat is growing thin
A nuclear error but I have no fear
'Cause London is drowning and I, I live by the river

Now get this, London calling, yes, I was there, too
And you know what they said? Well, some of it was true
London calling at the top of the dial
And after all this, won't you give me a smile?
London Calling

I never felt so much alike"

All of it really but the bold bits especially.

And, of course, ME1s ending song itself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NcrDWAuyqtc

I
Have wondered about you
Where will you be
When this is through?

If all
If all goes as planned
Will you redeem
My life again?
My life again

Fire the fields, the weed is sown
Water down your empty soul
Wake the sea of silent hope
Water down your empty soul

Fight your foes, you're not alone
Holy war is on the phone
Asking to please stay on hold
The bleeding loss of blood runs cold

And I need you to recover
Because I can't make it on my own

And I need you to recover
Because I can't make it on my own

I
Have wondered about you
Where will you be
When this is through?

If all
If all goes as planned
Will you redeem
My life again?

I
Have wondered about you
Where will you be
When this is through?

If all
If all goes as planned
Will you redeem
My life again?
My life again?

And I need you to recover
Because I can't make it on my own
And I need you to recover
Because I can't make it on my own
I need you to recover
Because I can't make it on my own
I need you to recover
Because I can't make it on my own
On my own
On my own
I'm on my own

Church of the Machine -- Symphony X

Bow down in the platinum maze
Twilight cathedrals spread the system plague
Forging sacred thrones in the void unseen
Merciless judgement in the church of the machine

I'm the master, looking down from the edge of space and time
Flesh and steel intertwined
I am the future, sacrifice your soul and succumb to me
Nailed to your faith, you'll believe

Scream-and no one hears my pleas
Faceless masses falling to their knees

Bow down in the platinum maze
Twilight cathedrals spread the system plague
Forging sacred thrones in the void unseen
Merciless judgement in the church of the machine

Pyramids in the sky, playing out their cosmic games
Rulers of us all, forever cursed we live in pain
Cursed-we live in pain...

The creator, 'Neath the darkened sun, my empires rise
Artificially devised
The destroyer, fierce intentions flow from a virtual rage
Forever lost and enslaved

Total mesh of soul and steel
Life-force force under my command
Twisted baptism of fire
Between machine and man

Scream-and no one hears my pleas
Faceless masses falling to their knees

Bow down in the platinum maze
Twilight cathedrals spread the system plague
Forging sacred thrones in the void unseen
Merciless judgement in the church of the machine

Great tracks, all of them.

Vanden Plas -Gethsemane

('The Shepard' facing the 'Reaper God', while us players face the possibility of Shepard sacrificing himself... maybe for nothing)

Jesus
I only want to say
If there is a way
Take this cup away from me

For I don't want to taste its poison
Feel it burn me,
I have changed, I am not as sure
As when we started

Then I was inspired (ME1)
Now I'm sad and tired (ME2)
Listen surely I've exceeded
Expectations
Tried for three years
Seems like thirty (?)
Could you ask as much
From any other man?

But if I die
See the saga through
And do the things you ask of me
Let them hate me, hit me, hurt me (Them = Reapers)
Nail me to their tree
I'd want to know
I'd want to know my God
I'd want to know
I'd want to know my God
I'd want to see
I'd want to see my God
I'd want to see
I'd want to see my God
Why I should die
Would I be more noticed
Than I ever was before?
Would the things I've said and done
Matter any more?

I'd have to know
I'd have to know my Lord
I'd have to know
I'd have to know my Lord
I'd have to see
I'd have to see my Lord
I'd have to see
I'd have to see my Lord

If I die what will be my reward?
If I die what will be my reward?
I'd have to know
I'd have to know my Lord
I'd have to know
I'd have to know my Lord

Why, why should I die?
Oh, why should I die?
Can you show me now
That I would not be killed in vain?

Show me just a little
Of your omnipresent brain

Show me there's a reason
For your wanting me to die
You're far too keen on where and how (Catalyst..)
But not so hot on why
Alright I'll die!
See how I die, just watch me die!
See how I die! (HUSKIFICATION)

Then I was inspired
Now I'm sad and tired

After all I've tried for three years
Seems like ninety
Why then am I scared
To finish what I started

What you started ('God'/Catalyst)
I didn't start it
God thy will is hard
But you hold every card
I will drink your cup of poison

Nail me to your cross and break me
Bleed me, beat me
Kill me, take me now
Before I change my mind

Posters on IT have compared the Crucible choice to Jesus facing his temptations, but considering that the Reapers are not just machine devils, but also machine angels, Shepard facing 'God' is also appropriate.

That is, of course, the ultimate judgement. The Crucible decision isn't the test, it's the judgement.
The real test is life, and the decisions made during it.
Citadel DLC seeming to have the symbolic message of 'memory' and 'identity', makes sense here. WE must go through Shepard's life, and decide based on that.

Do we allow God's required sacrifice? Do we give our all for the divine?

Nope, because they're still machine DEVILS, destroyers of worlds, regardless of any games the Reapers may be playing on Shepard's mind/our minds.. *shoots tube*

It could be taken either way - a humanist/atheist message (break the bonds of religion), or a spiritual one (defeat the corruption in the universe), it doesn't matter. Shepard is basically Space Soldier Jesus, and this is the time where we, the (largely hateful now? Hating all Bioware does, hating the ending of a journey no matter what it took to get there?) audience choose to have our Savior DIE, or have him LIVE on. What do we actually want? Well, if we look at how people have reacted to ME3, it's clear where people's motivations actually were.

Some were very quick to toss away Shepard (Synthesizers). Sadly, I was one of them on my first run through.
While others only want him in a simulated form that they can later forget and be ignorant about (Controllers).
And others just wanted him to go out in a blaze of glory (Destroyers, and the most true to the symbolism and even base plot ( set up there for new players to succeed) of the game).
But a smaller group actually found this all wasteful, and believe that Shepard is alive and struggling for help... and a hand upward. That think Shepard is only human, not divinity that should shape the entire galaxy, and he's dying, but not dead. Call them the Gnostics, or Agnostics, or Atheists, or Anti-Religionists of this whole ending scenario, but the game's content speaks for itself:

What do you think Shepard's own companions are? Are they Synthesizers, Controllers, or even Destroyers who think that Shepard is gone just because someone said he is? HELL NO.

They're the ones digging in the rubble, no matter what, refusing to believe that Shepard is dead. Even as the world ends, they won't give up on him. What's WRONG with being the Cult of Shepard? :) Nothing. But Shepard's in a very, very tough time right now, and needs US, the players, to push him through so he can cross the finish line. This Shepard may have went to his Afterlife/Purgatory/Flux/Chora's (Countryside) Den/Dark Star (theories place it as the same as Heaven)/Eternity...

But he's gonna have his Second Coming. Or rather, Second Resurrection.

I find this track, and several others by the band, to really easily capture what the trilogy eventually lead to - a fight against a False God, and possibly overpowering Him... Let's see the Reapers get blasted apart, shall we?

E-Type Back in the Loop

Time has come to get the troops back together
No one's cruising for a bruising
It's a landslide, can't die
Time to get what's coming to me
Time to let things go
There is no way to stop the yellow danger
Time has come for you
Cause I'm back....

Back! Cause I'm back.....Back!
I'm back......Back! Cause I'm back......Back!

Snap out of it now
We're back in the loop and it's time to move on
We're aiming for all or nothing now
We're back in the loop and it's time to go on
For us it is all or nothing now

Who are you? Friend or foe?
Now leave your sorrows all behind
This ain't enugh, hanging tough
Now you must make up your mind
We can't stay down, we have to leave

There is no place for us to hide, so this is it
You've been warned now either join or step aside
Cause I'm back

Back! Cause I'm back.....Back!

Snap out of it now
We're back in the loop and it's time to move on
We're aiming for all or nothing now
We're back in the loop and it's time to go on
For us it is all or nothing now

Back with a vengeance

Ever since playing Mass Effect 3 and seeing the ending as well as the Indoctrination theory this song i have in many ways come to associate with what happens during the final battle and right after. Above all i associate it with Shepard rising from the wreckage. Not so much Indoctrination, but what the situation will be once Shepard breaks free.

But anyway to break it down a bit. Yellow is a color associated with Indoctrination by the Rachni (sour yellow note) so Yellow Danger seems fitting. Beyond that the song repeats it is all or nothing, which most certainly it is by the end of Mass Effect 3. But it also talks about someone who is back and the second part has a line about making up your mind, making a choice to join or step aside.

For those reasons I associate it with Shepard making his decision, getting back up, getting back in the loop. The troops have been brought together, there is no retreat or a place to hide, it is all or nothing.

I’ll burn my tomorrows
And I stand inside today
At the edge of the future
And my dreams all fade away

I’ll burn my tomorrows
And I’ll stand inside today
At the edge of the future
And my dreams all fade away

And burn my shadow away
And burn my shadow away

Face my destroyer
I was ambushed by a lie
And you judged me once for falling
This wounded heart will rise

And burn my shadow away
And burn my shadow away

Burn my shadow
Burn
Burn my shadow away

And burn my shadow away
And burn my shadow away

Burn My Tomorrow is a fantastic choice...

EDIT: Raistlin Majere that's great - and we can consider being 'back in the loop' to be more "Crap, the cycle is still continuing! We're doing something wrong! WAKE UP!" At some point we're aware and awake, 'back in the loop' to what is happening. I love it.

EDIT2: I wouldn't be surprised at this point if Bioware made a conscious decision to secretly prolong the Reaper War, using psychological tactics throughout the trilogy (but especially ME2-3) to make us think it's over, but instead they're prepping for a massive expansion of it into a next generation of consoles and especially new tech to play with and properly show us this war.... not some possible 'recording' of it ;)

Post by BleedingUranium Mon Sep 02, 2013 2:25 am

I mentioned this one a while back, but Survival by Muse. It was written for, and was the official theme song of the 2012 London Olympic Games. Whistling

----

Race, life’s a race
And I am gonna win
Yes, I am gonna win

And I’ll light the fuse
And I’ll never lose
And I choose to survive
Whatever it takes

You won’t pull ahead
I’ll keep up the pace
And I’ll reveal my strength
To the whole human race

Yes I am prepared
To stay alive
And I won’t forgive,
Vengeance is mine
And I won’t give in
Because I choose to thrive

Yeah, I’m gonna win!

Race, it’s a race
And I’m gonna win
Yes, I’m gonna win

And I will light the fuse
I’ll never lose
And I choose to survive
Whatever it takes

You won’t pull ahead
'Cause I’ll keep up the pace
And I’ll reveal my strength
To the whole human race

Yes I'm gonna win

Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!
Win! Win! Win! Win!

Yes I’m gonna win!

Raven's post reminded me of another song. The title/lyrics remind me of EDI's monologue in synthesis. I note that stated theme of the album was machines taking over >_>

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34Pwl159QB8

Prometheus (I Am Alive) -- Symphony X

Perfection - one direction
One voice, one mind
Selection - mass dissection
Rebuild, refine

Creation - modification
Becoming something more
Mutations - bred to infect
Erase, restore

You made me strong, but you don't fear me
No right or wrong, if you believe set me free
Feel the power inside of me...

Alive, Alive - Rising up I am Alive
I am the Dark - I am the Light
Alive, Alive - Rising up I am Alive
Within you I'm Alive

Undying - no denying
Predict, engage, remove
Destroyer - soul exploiter
Delete, design, improve

Invasion - mass domination
Becoming something more
One nation born to accept
Embrace, endure

You made me strong, yet you don't fear me
No right or wrong, if you believe set me free
Feel the power inside of me...

Alive, Alive - Rising up I am Alive
I am the Dark - I am the Light
Alive, Alive - Rising up I am Alive
Within you I'm Alive

Alive, Alive - Rising up I am Alive
I am the Dark - I am the Light
Alive, Alive - Rising up I am Alive
Within you I'm Alive

Rising up I am Alive

Indoctrination Songs Empty Re: Indoctrination Songs

Post by Eryri Mon Sep 02, 2013 8:09 am

A slightly tenuous one here, which I mentioned back in the old thread, but I think some snippets of "No Light, No Light" by Florence and the Machine would be a good soundtrack to a reveal trailer. Particularly the chorus:

"No Light, No Light"

You are the hole in my head
You are the space in my bed
You are the silence in between what I thought
And what I said

You are the night time fear
You are the morning when it's clear
When it's over you'll start
You're my head
You're my heart

No light, no light in your bright blue eyes
I never knew daylight could be so violent
A revelation in the light of day
You can't choose what stays and what fades away

And I'd do anything to make you stay
No light, no light
No light
Tell me what you want me to say

Through the crowd, I was crying out
And in your place there were a thousand other faces
I was disappearing in plain sight
Heaven help me, I need to make it right

You want a revelation,
You wanna get it right
But, it's a conversation,
I just can't have tonight
You want a revelation
Some kind of resolution
You want a revelation

No light, no light in your bright blue eyes
I never knew daylight could be so violent
A revelation in the light of day,
You can't choose what stays and what fades away

And I'd do anything to make you stay
No light, no light
No light
Tell me what you want me to say

Would you leave me,
If I told you what I've done?
And would you need me,
If I told you what I've become?
'cause it's so easy,
To say it to a crowd
But it's so hard, my love,
To say it to you out loud

No light, no light in your bright blue eyes
I never knew daylight could be so violent
A revelation in the light of day,
You can't choose what stays and what fades away

And I'd do anything to make you stay
No light, no light
No light
Tell me what you want me to say

You want a revelation,
You wanna get it right
But, it's a conversation,
I just can't have tonight
You want a revelation
Some kind of resolution
You want a revelation

You want a revelation,
You wanna get it right
But, it's a conversation,
I just can't have tonight
You want a revelation, some kind of resolution
Tell me what you want me to say.

Indoctrination Songs Empty Re: Indoctrination Songs

Post by Byne Mon Sep 02, 2013 10:19 am

This song always reminds me of IT, as well as of people who trust the Reapers.

it's getting pointless
trying to keep up this game

broken friendships
watching pleasure turn to pain

all around us
lines are being drawn between

don't believe them
they try to tell us we're a team

we like to think that there is something good to hold on to
one simple reason keeps us hanging on

they're out to break us down, to run our lives
to rule our minds

our days of destiny are gone

but your dreams have turned to fear
and it's pretty goddamn clear
that you know you can't trust anybody now

you think they help us
you think they give us everything

they'll just use us
whatever bitter end to bring

it gets harder
they'll sacrifice you for their needs

wake the fuck up
they'll have us crawling on our knees

you always dreamed that there'd more to life than all the lies
a place you'd find where you weren't all alone

but now you look around, at what you've learned
and face the truth

that you may never find a home

now your smiles have turned to tears
and it's pretty goddamn clear
that you know you can't trust anybody now

More of a feeling on the end of ME3 i suppose.

for this one, for this one
good fortune has breathed its breath upon
this one, this one

a handful of wanting, waiting return
a mountain of past, a future to burn
a dream of tomorrows, and what will become, become

with hope upon hope and blind desire
empty horizons fuelled by fire
waiting for something from lifes great liar

it's hard to believe the time has come
for this one, for this one
good fortune has breathed its breath upon
this one, for this one
it's hard to believe the time has come
for this one

binding my time till my time is due
waiting in line as world looks through
right through"

Indoctrination Songs Empty Re: Indoctrination Songs

Post by RavenEyry Mon Sep 02, 2013 4:33 pm

It slipped my mind for a while but I finally remembered one not in any way used by BW

End Of All Hope - Nightwish https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6xaIPszwpo

It is the end of all hope
To lose the child, the faith
To end all the innocence
To be someone like me
This is the birth of all hope
To have what I once had
This life unforgiven
It will end with a birth

No will to wake for this morn
To see another black rose born
Deathbed is slowly covered with snow

Angels, they fell first but I'm still here
Alone as they are drawing near
In heaven my masterpiece will finally be sung

It is the end of all hope
To lose the child, the faith
To end all the innocence
To be someone like me

Wounded is the deer that leaps highest
And my wound it cuts so deep
Turn off the light and let me pull the plug

It is the end of all hope
To lose the child, the faith
To end all the innocence
To be someone like me
This is the birth of all hope
To have what I once had
This life unforgiven
It will end with a birth

Mandylion, without a face
Deathwish without a prayer
End of hope
End of love
End of time, the rest is silence

Mandylion, without a face
Deathwish without a prayer
End of hope
End of love
End of time, the rest is silence

It is the end of all hope
To lose the child, the faith
To end all the innocence
To be someone like me

This is the birth of all hope
To have what I once had

It is the end of all hope
To lose the child, the faith
To end all the innocence
To be someone like me

It is the end of all hope
To lose the child, the faith

End of all hope

I don't think bolding is necessary.

Breathe with me

Breathe the pressure
Come play my game Ill test ya
Psychosomatic addict insane
Breathe the pressure
Come play my game Ill test ya
Psycho-somatic addict insane

Come play my game
Inhale, inhale, youre the victim
Come play my game
Exhale, exhale, exhale

Breathe with me

Breathe the pressure
Come play my game Ill test ya
Psychosomatic addict insane
Breathe the pressure
Come play my game Ill test ya
Psycho-somatic addict insane

Come play my game
Inhale, inhale, youre the victim
Come play my game
Exhale, exhale, exhale

Come breathe with me
Breathe with me

Your skull froze little lives
In shadows where you hide
A life that was designed
You've been cheated, oh so blind

You laid it on the line
These twisted words of time
And how your spirit shines
I wish that you were mine

Yeah, lately
I know that I've been crawling
I know that I've been falling
Into your dream

Imagine no more tears
Dissolving all your fears
With tooth and claw we fight
Into this endless night

Yeah, lately
I know that I've been crawling
I know that I've been falling
Into your dream

I saw my tears in your eyes
You saw your tears in mine
We watched it burn together

I saw my fears in your eyes
You saw your fear in mine
We watched it burn together
Watched it burn

Burn, yeah, burn
Watched it burn, burn, yeah, burn
Watched it burn, burn, watched it burn
Watched it burn, burn, watched it burn

All is forgiven

Indoctrination Songs Empty Re: Indoctrination Songs

Round,
Like a circle in a spiral
Like a wheel within a wheel
Never ending or beginning
On an ever-spinning reel
Like a snowball down a mountain
Or a carnival balloon
Like a carousel that’s turning
Running rings around the moon
Like a clock whose hands are sweeping
Past the minutes on it’s face
And the world is like an apple
Whirling silently in space
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind

Like a tunnel that you follow
To a tunnel of it’s own
Down a hollow to a cavern
Where the sun has never shone
Like a door that keeps revolving
In a half-forgotten dream
Like the ripples from a pebble
Someone tosses in a stream
Like a clock whose hands are sweeping
Past the minutes on it’s face
And the world is like an apple
Whirling silently in space
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind

Keys that jingle in your pocket
Words that jangle in your head
Why did summer go so quickly?
Was it something that I said?
Lovers walk along a shore
And leave their footprints in the sand
Was the sound of distant drumming
Just the fingers of your hand?
Pictures hanging in a hallway
Or the fragment of a song
Half-remembered names and faces
But to whom do they belong?
When you knew that it was over
Were you suddenly aware
That the autumn leaves were turning
To the colour of her hair?

Like a circle in a spiral
Like a wheel within a wheel
Never ending or beginning
On an ever-spinning reel
As the images unwind
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind

Indoctrination Songs Empty Re: Indoctrination Songs

Post by Guest Tue Sep 03, 2013 3:00 am

Eryri wrote:A slightly tenuous one here, which I mentioned back in the old thread, but I think some snippets of "No Light, No Light" by Florence and the Machine would be a good soundtrack to a reveal trailer. Particularly the chorus:

"No Light, No Light"
Not tenuous. I have it on my iPod when exercising and I think of Mass Effect every time.

By now I'm almost convinced that some designer for Mass Effect listens to Celldweller, ha.

Switchback!
Switchback!
Switchback!
Switchback!

I made a choice that I regret
Now what I see is what I get
It's too late to look back
I've got no way to switchback
It's too late to look back
Ain't okay, I've got no way to switchback

Switchback!
Switchback!

Wait, how can it be too late?
'Cause I don't want to play
With such a price to pay
Chained to what I can't reclaim
I'll never be the same

It's too late to look back
(Too late to)
Ain't okay, I've got no way to switchback

A painful picture that I can't forget
Now what I see is what I get
It's too late to look back
I've got no way to switchback
It's too late to look back
Ain't okay, I've got no way to switchback

Switchback!
Switchback!

Wait, how can it be too late?
'Cause I don't want to play
With such a price to pay
It's too late to look back
(Too late to)
Ain't okay, I've got no way to switchback

(And everybody) And
Everybody foolin' with their rick rack, and
It's about time we put them on their back
Meaner and leaner, we take up the slack
Klayton and Celldweller with no way to switch back
Cuttin' you up with a razor blade
Chokin' you on them words you say
Keepin' you up in front of me
And the Celldweller is unafraid

Switchback!
Switchback!

Wait, how can it be too late?
'Cause I don't want to play
With such a price to pay
Chained to what I can't reclaim
I'll never be the same
Will be the same again
(Will be the same again)

(Have a way to)
It's too late to look back
(A way to)
Ain't ok, I've got no way to switchback

Too late to look back
Ain't okay, I've got no way to switchback
