CP maybe doing some really poor PR handling of the forums. Not typical of forums anywhere.

But am not convinced its him doing as he sees fit, these orders are coming from the very top. He maybe community manager but he doesn't get to do as he pleases.

This is fishy to say the least. If this is just a move to control trolls and off-topic threads then CP must gracefully step down from the role. This is below sub-par PR skill, which am convinced is not the case.

CP is only following orders, what for we can only speculate.

I found that Priestly locks not only threads that are directly connected to IT. He also locks threads that tend to go towards IT. Here:

I didn't read all previous pages, but to me looks like BW 'beeing the reapers' becomes clearer more and more every day. First the 'rumours' of them favoring 'synthesis', now silencing the IT'ers (the hardest resistance) ... after all, they are the ones indoctrinating their customers.
