Should I buy this?

Anyway you've all had that feeling where you're not sure on whether to purchase a game, yes?

Well I thought why not ask fellow ITers!
If you've ever had any doubt on whether to buy a game or not just ask away and see if its worth it.

I've been wondering on Borderlands for a while now, but from what I've heard it's mega hard. Like really fucking hard. I was wondering how hard it really was, maybe compared to ME1 Hardcore or as such. I do love the graphics and the idea behind it though. Thoughts?

I bought the game, and found really good, but it was too hard for me, because of the bosses.
I would say it´s harder than ME2 & 3 in Insanity.
Havent played more than normal in ME1

It's a lot of fun, but with tough boss fights as Fur says, though it's really designed for co-op rather than single player. I don't really know anyone who plays though and never fancied pugging it as I suck at FPS and don't like being shouted at.

It's got nice graphics, a great sense of humour and the Game of the Year edition comes with four rather large DLC's so it's good value. It's often discounted as Borderlands 2 came out a few months ago.

Borderlands and hard bosses? Nah, I never had any problems, the only one who really sucked was solo General Knoxx in BL1, but BL2 has no hard bosses, if you do it right you can even solo Terramorphous (did that already with my L50 Siren, you just need The Bee and a good gun like Maggie) and Vermivorous, but it's a pain in the ass to get the latter to spawn, haven't done him yet.

But the humor is really great, and Handsome Jack is my villain of the year 2012

Borderlands is tough, but is also very fun, so I highly recommend it to you.
Also, if you happen to be be a fan of Dead Space or Bioshock, check out Metro 2033.
It's two years old, but I'm still playing it, and it's sequel comes out March.

I asked you guys yesterday wether to buy deus ex: hr or not. You said "do it" so i did it and so far it seem to be a great game. Except..noone on the FU**ING PLAYSTATION NETWORK even bothered to mention that the german version would not include ENGLISH as a language setup. Are you kidding me? The source language not included? And the best thing is yet to come. Under no circumstances does sony offer you A FU**ING REFUND.

and wasn´t it cheaper to buy on retail instead of downloading? or the retail version has the same problem?

Retail is the same...at least on consoles..and it's more expensive. But since i am not getting the money back either way i have decided to have the retail version imported from uk for additional 5€ making it a 19 € in total. Seriously i'm still pissed when i think about it but there is simply NO WAY i'm gonna play this in german..it's like they've used porn voice actors for this. I'm not saying every german linedub is bad..but this one certainly is.

i know how you feel. Whenever i play a game dubbed in spanish, it´s aither actors who are like "it´s a game who cares how we said it" or actors from Spain, who all sound the same to me

As a spaniard I agree so much with this, I bought Fable a few weeks ago and I can't play it, I don't know how to explain it but they sound kind of silly.
I don't understand why can't they put the original english VA in retail copies. If I recall correctly Steam has the option to let you choose the language you want to play the game in from the available ones. You'd think the PSN could do the same. (I love the smilies in this place)

The only games I may play in german (that is, when I have no other choice but german) are those which almost don't have dialogue at all, like Empire Earth, Age of Empires 2, The Sims, World of Goo, Terraria...

Well dishonored wasn't bad..don't get me wrong, it wasn't goody by any means either. Bur it did not ruin the game for me. The first sentence uttered in deus ex however ended the game for me right then and there.
Out of curiousity i've tried playing me 3 in german lately. Garrus just is not garrus. And addressing shepard with "sie" did it for me. I mean they are bros right?
