lol reminded me of Krem and the Qun

"The Saudis were not sure how to deal with Queen Elizabeth II in matters of protocol. They got around it by officially granting her the status of a male in Saudi Arabia. Yes, they changed her gender. Muslims, like so many hard core "Christians" can always find a way around their little ways, when they have to."

Well, finally finished it. In summary; loved the twist, hated the clipping issues.

Some welcome additions there, particularly the item storage and armor tints. The materials with the best stats invariably look awful. Finally, I can make king's weave-based mage armor that doesn't look like Elvis' bathrobe!

Huh, seems a bit late in the shelf life cycle to add a fluff piece (given the degree of linearity and finality (regardless of variations available), that comes with the story focus of most Bioware titles).
...then again; I view this from a "I don't do multiplayer" angle, so what do I know.

What I am curious about, is how the post-credits' elephant in the room will be handled, with coming Dragon Age products.

Can they possibly put it on a side track, whilst doing yet another new story?

Would they lift the veil (EDIT: <- purely accidental, btw) on such a massive bit of their world-building mystery, in DLC, albeit potentially the mother of all DLC/expansions?

BW have certainly disappointed in the past, on the latter account, with a certain other title.

David Gaider has left Dragon Age for another Bioware project. 'New IP'? Star Wars? Mass Effect? Likely the first one.

Patrick Weekes is taking over.

So a bit of news: I have decided leave Dragon Age and move onto a new, upcoming BioWare project (which I can't discuss).
While it's hard to leave Dragon Age behind, 10 years is a long time to work on any one project. I decided it was time for something new.
I am happy, however, to leave Dragon Age in good hands: @PatrickWeekes will be Lead Writer once I'm gone. I can't think of anyone better.

Mike Laidlaw:
What an honor it's been working with @DavidGaider over the past years. And yet, he's already kicking ass on "new Bioware thing" (TM)
And sincere congratulations to @PatrickWeekes who will be working with the storytelling team as the new DA writing lead.
Which is to say, I am a CD who has enjoyed an embarrassment of riches in so many co-workers.
Also, you have my promise that @PatrickWeekes will be confined to minimal apostophe usage, whilst on my watch.

Patrick Weekes:
I'm honored to be continuing the Dragon Age story that @davidgaider set in motion, and I look forward to adding a lot of sexy unicorns now.

See, this is where Dragon Age has lost its way. I should have the option to wipe out the Avvars to gain the respect of an ancient cult.

Apparently it's an timed exclusivity deal with Microsoft. Mildly annoying as I have a PS4.

Um no, I mean it was supposed to release today, along with PC.

Instead, we get XboxOne releasing it slightly earlier than PC. It was either a mistake or an intentional 'mistake' meant to encourage more XboxOne DLC sales.

I'll wait for Steel to tell me if it's worth buying, since I don't want to blindly buy some DLC that's completely unrelated to the main storyline

The Dragon Age Thread - Page 30 Empty Re: The Dragon Age Thread

From what I've seen, its basically a more endgamey zone (Tier 4 crafting mat/recipe related maybe?), with a little more story/cutscenes in it than the other zones would have.

Feels like a cut zone that they spruced up to just justify enough that people spend money on it. Like Omega DLC for ME3, but worse in that respect, because 'wtf a zone for $15??'.

Result: Get it now if you're psyched up for any DAI content, or later on, because its essentially (at least vast majority of it) just 'one of the many later adventures of the Inquisitor and Friends', instead of an advancement of interesting and involving story content. I haven't seen anything about there being important decisions or intriguing plot revelations, yet.
Good if you get it for embellishment of 'DAI endgame'. Which I'm not at yet so whatever. Zone is Lv 20+ with enemies like Lv 23ish, but from what I've seen, it doesn't matter if you do it late game or post game.
If you're not into 'DAI endgame', you may even skip this stuff entirely and be totally fine with that.

Amazing trailer.

Still doesn't look worth my $15, at least not for a few months.

Ah, I see what you mean.

I agree about that trailer. It does look good but I was hoping for a direct continuation of the story following that post credit scene. I wonder if they will do that in dlc or wait for the next full game?

It does look like a level that just didn't make it into the (already ginormous) game. I'm not sure I have a problem with that.

I'd get it right now but I'm finally starting to get good at Call of Duty. (Where "good" means a kill/death ratio of over 0.5. Maybe I should rethink this.)

Finally making progress! Only Winter Palace, Arbor Wilds and ending, and 3 zones left. 2/3 through I suppose. This is a very slow playthrough... Lv 17.
