I really dont understand the appeal of Shizune. Even if we ignore the fact that her route is the most poorly written of all of them, I really dont see the appeal in her personality.

The writing doesn't factor in for me, not for any of the girls. Rin, for example, would be my least favourite regardless of the quality of writing of her story. It's about the character, and she's the most lovable character I've ever come across.

When I played I didn't manage to connect with either Rin or Shizune.
I related more with Hanako's story since in real life I really tend to always help shy people and most of friends are like that, being a little shy myself. For that same reason Shizune's personality became a little too strong for me.
