Sandal. Enchantment? Enchantment!

So.. Who, what and all, is Sandal? I'm sure there are some theories floating around out there, I am interested in hearing them.

He's just happened to be there when two different major players in the Age of Dragons have risen to power, and he is rather unique. So.. Thoughts?

Well, from Sandal's one in a hundred comment about his vision for the future, it seems that Sandal has at least some of the same (or similar) precognitive ability as Flemeth.

Maybe he is/was possessed by a fade spirit, one of the more benevolent ones, and the stress has caused his mind to snap, but also left him with certain powers.

Yes, I know Dwarves should have no connection to the fade, but Sandal froze an Ogre solid in the Deep Roads, the only logical explanation for such an occurrence is magic.

Which is why I don't think he's a real dwarf. Or if he is, he's the only one that can actually touch the Fade.

For the first time that I remember I spoke with Sandal and he said the old woman was scary...she had a scary laugh...and that she was standing over his bed...was it Flemeth? And what could the connection be?
