Just curious to know everyones taste in VGs
Only rule can´t fill the list with a franchise, only one game per franchise or you can combine them for example: Halo series or ME trilogy
me:
1. Mass Effect Trilogy
2. No More Heroes
3. Deus Ex: Human Revolution
4. Paper Mario. The Thousand Year Door
5. Mario & Luigi: Bowser´s Inside Story

1. ME1
2. Bioshock
3. MGS3
4. Elder Scrolls Series (Ive put soooooo much time in all 5, not fair to choose one, never did play any of the spin offs though)
5. Civilization 5 (haters can hate, but Civ 5 is the best Civ)
This list changes radically sometimes, so dont hold it to me. For like 4 months ME2 was on top, then I came to my senses.
Others that are hard to place-
ME2 and ME3
Deus Ex, and Human Revolution
The Total War games
Costume Quest (love that damn game)
Witcher 2
Whole MGS series
Assorted Zeldas
Assorted Marios
etc, etc, etc

Re: Favorite Videogames
Oh here we go :D
1/2) Mass Effect Trilogy (can't decide which franchises I love more)
2/1) Assassin's Creed 2, ACB, AC3
3) FTL
4) GTA games since San Andreas (and trying to play VC on my phone, but those controls...)
5) KOTOR
In case you guys haven't heard of FTL: it's an indie game where the player starts showing masochistic tendencies and heavily addictive behavior over time. :P

Shamefully similar to the onces above:
1. KotOR
2. Mass Effect (let's say the entire trilogy, each installment has its pros and cons)
3. TES V: Skyrim
4. Dragon age: Origins
5. The Witcher 2
Edit. Note to self: too much RPG-ishness. You've got to broaden your perspectives, ladeh...

All time's tricky, but for this generation, I'd go as follows:
1: Mass Effect Trilogy (yeah, they're all essentially one game to me)
2: Red Dead Redemption
3: GTA IV
4: Skyrim
5: Dragon Age: Origins

Re: Favorite Videogames
Difficult, as this varies depending on my mood:
1. Mass Effect 2
2. Final Fantasy 7
3. Baldur's Gate 2: Throne of Bhaal
4. Neverwinter Nights
5. Infamous 1 & 2 as a set.
EditL Damn, forgot Deus Ex HR, probably ties for 5th with Infamous. They're probably not the most high quality games in the world, but I do have some of my fondest memories with them.

Re: Favorite Videogames
Hard to put them in order, but my favourite games would have to be:
ME Trilogy (actually I really like all 3)
Assassin's Creed 2
Crusader Kings II
Dragon Age: Origins
Deus Ex: HR
Honourable mentions to FTL, Fallout: New Vegas, Spec Ops: The Line, The Witcher I and II, LA Noire, KOTOR and my favourite mobile game, Waking Mars. And International Cricket Captain 2012, which sucks an alarming number of hours for a simple game.
Crusader Kings II is amazing - you manage your own medieval dynasty over about 400 years. You can play anyone from a minor noble to an emperor, all real historical characters. It then simulates history on the fly, with marriages, births, deaths, wars and various events that kick in (some even have mini-adventure games attached with choices that affect your character). It even has a very simple simulation of genetics - certain parental traits affect any children born to different characters. It's a sort of RPG meets board game meets strategy meets epic historical saga with huge replay value.

Re: Favorite Videogames
1. Persona 4
2. Final Fantasy X
3. Metal Gear Solid 3
4. Tie between Mass Effect 1 and 2
5. Okami
The last two spots shift around, but the top three are ironclad.

Man, I just remembered I forgot to mention the two Portal games.
Both genuinly entertaining AND educational!
IMO, every school should have them installed on their computers as educational software!

1. Star Trek Armada
2. Crusader Kings 2
3. Mount and Blade: Warband (With the Floris mod)
4. Dragon Age 2 (Haters gonna hate)
5. Skyrim
The ME trilogy is in an odd place for me at the moment, so it avoids the list but it must be said that I really adore the games for the most part.

Yeah...I have no words to describe that stupidity. What will be the next, burning violent books (though i can think of few books in need of wide scale burning ) , TV with their violent shows? Violent movies?
