In the same scene where Hisao says they have shelves, the picture shows no shelves.

I think Hisao's disability causes him to see shelves where there are no shelves.

True, it's probably because the art and text are developed by different people. The do surprisingly well with these details most of the time though.

One thing I noticed that bothers me is that while most of the time the writing fits with Hisao sitting beside Misha, then Shizune on the other side, a number of scenes imply that he's in front of Misha.

Yep! I finished it a couple days ago. It really good, pretty much tied with Emi and her route for me.

I started a new Shizune playthrough, partly to get the alternate post-running with Emi scene, it was the only non neutral/bad thing I was missing. So I'm now at 95%, which is done everything that isn't bad!

I'll probably to the bad endings eventually, I am a completionist.
