I have to imagine that it will play a significant role...after all one could argue that the Mage Rebellion is one of the major causes of the chaos...that of course does not mean that it will make sense.

I agree. It will probably be like the Civil War questline in Skyrim, yet you need to do some of it in order to complete the main questline in this version.DSharrah wrote:Hanako Ikezawa wrote:Either it will be a major side plot since ending that war will end one more war and thus help the Inquisitor's goal to restore order or it will be mostly in he background and the Inquisitor only gets involved occasionally.Steelcan wrote:I wonder how they are going to make the mage rebellion work out, the inquisitor's goal is to restore order, not crusade..

Bioware announced a few days ago that this is not accurate. The Free Marches and Nevarra will not be visited in Inquisition. OXM made a mistake.Hanako Ikezawa wrote:

Yeah. Definitely sounds like it will be more in depth.umadcommander wrote:DSharrah wrote:Anyone here invited for the Keep Beta?

The thing I hope they release prior to launch is the Character Creator. DAO and DA2 via the demo did.

Wish I was...hoping that there may be some hints at what to expect in DA:I based on the "way you get to shape your universe"...

Re: The Dragon Age Thread
Well, I know they said that not all choices in it will affect Inquisition, so it'd be hard to say since we don't know which ones they mean.DSharrah wrote:Hanako Ikezawa wrote:I am not. Are you?DSharrah wrote:Anyone here invited for the Keep Beta?

Indeed. And choices we think (and by all rights should) have major impact on the world will often be reduced to a few lines of inconsequential dialogue or at best a cameo.

Inconsequential dialogue or at best a cameo? Are you mad?

Re: The Dragon Age Thread
I'm mainly interested to see what "choices" were deemed important enough by the "creators" to be included in the Keep...sometimes omission speaks louder than inclusion. I think most here would agree that not including something like the OGB decision would be sacrilege - and subsequently if that choice does not have a huge impact it would be more than disappointing. I just want to know what decisions from my playthroughs were warranted to be included/omitted...so I can at least start speculating on the stroy line of DA:I.

Re: The Dragon Age Thread
So the conversation in the ME3 Indoc thread got me thinking about the Grey Warden dreams of the Archdemon. Two thirds of the way through Dragon Age: Origins, the Grey Wardens realize that the Archdemon can see them in their dreams, complete with a vision of the Archdemon flying around in the Fade.
Hypothesis: The Old Gods, as powerful sources of magic, are aware when dreaming in the Fade.
Fact: The Old Gods "sleep" deep underground.
Fact: Dwarves don't go to the Fade when they sleep due to their centuries of exposure to underground lyrium.
which leads to...
Hypothesis: The Old Gods are sleeping deep underground so as to stay out of the Fade. Either they have done this intentionally to avoid the darkspawn corruption emanating from the Black City, or someone put them underground to limit or sever their connection to the Fade for similar or unknown reasons.

It a horde of demons pouring out of a Veil Tear. If you look closely, you'll see some familiar shapes like a Pride demon face. There are also demons we've never seen before in it too.Maximus wrote:My first thoughts:

Almost as if to suggest that the power to close veils is related to dragons...could the Inquisitor be Morrigan's OGB?

Re: The Dragon Age Thread
Considering the OGB, if existing at all, would only be 10, I'm going to go with no. And that's ignoring the fact race selection is back with Qunari added.DSharrah wrote:Almost as if to suggest that the power to close veils is related to dragons...could the Inquisitor be Morrigan's OGB?
The dragon is there simply because every DA game has a dragon on the cover.

Jesus tits, look how fucking big and obnoxious the EA logo is, lol.
Ride that EA cock BioWare all the way to the bank.
But seriously tho. The EA logo is HUGE.
Nice cover tho, but meh.... Dragons Age. Meh.
It's good they're releasing it before the monster that is Witcher 3 is out.
Cause.... yeah, that game is going to take over.
I do like the cover tho.
