Re: The Dragon Age Thread
Y'know.... I still haven't set foot into that haunted mansion.
I can't seem to play a character past 130 hours. I am compelled to start over or play something else.

Re: The Dragon Age Thread
I did the mansion (Emerald Graves, right?). Like all open world zone areas of the game, it lacked something (typically more cutscene/choice involvement that was in the last several Bioware games), but as a dungeon it was pretty cool.
I'm finishing up Exalted Plains (ugh, messed up the elven reputation but hopefully I can fix it), and I've killed a couple dragons so I have 2 zones left after this, 2-3 story quests (if you count the final boss), and 6 dragons. Lv 19. The last stretch is nearly upon me.. just need to do a bit more exploration, a couple dragon kills, and Winter Palace.
I think I'll do a 2nd actual Nightmare playthrough but it may have to wait for a PC upgrade. Performance isn't terrible at all now, but DAI definitely 'feels' a ton better when I have very smooth framerate and maximum settings, and I can't manage both on this PC.

spoilers
Also decided to have fun with a female dwarf s&s tank warrior (will be Champion or Reaver), American voice, same world state (but it'll be different for any potential playthroughs after this), meant more for variety + Nightmare achievement (hopefully!).
She's pretty cool. Its a challenge to make good looking dwarves (male or female, to fit the Inquisitor theme), but I think I got it good enough. Now.. Blackwall or Josephine or Sera... I'm leaning Blackwall or Josephine.

Re: The Dragon Age Thread
Thedas is actually the Fade and Cole is the only true human being in the game!

Eh? Why not? It's a low likelihood theory. No skin off my back.

This is the part where I run around in circles trying to see my own back to make sure, isn't it?

We've been making fun of Swoby's stupid link in chat, especially this part: "We Gain Our Memories Back While In The Fade... Or do we?" "Or do we?" is our new meme.ZerebusPrime wrote:Rifneno wrote:OR IS IT?ZerebusPrime wrote:Eh? Why not? It's a low likelihood theory. No skin off my back.

So! Black Emporium. Do not antagonize Chauncey.
So is that every schematic in the game for sale right there or just the ones from the RNG engine?

Re: The Dragon Age Thread
I think it sells every RNG schematic that you haven't obtained yet. So if you have the extra gold and you've well advanced through the relevant content (Tier1/2/3) so there isn't much chance of getting the remaining schematics, you can use this shop.
And then also the schematics for the more rare/elite gear from questing/etc. Good if you're gear completionist/maxer.
Could be wrong about any of this, but this is just what it seems to me from a casual glance.
Wish there was a bit more to the BE (especially more character customization options added), but its also at least exactly what I minimally expected, so eh, sure, I'll take it.

Grapple hooking people from uphill near the dragon roost in Crestwood can apparently result in the followup kick punting a just-deceased target a quarter mile.
Of course, I have no video so it must not have happened.

Do we have a timeframe for the release of that last DLC?

Nope.
But its looking very possible that the next DLC is just in the next month, and it won't be the last one (the last one being late 2015 to early 2016?).
I'd be very surprised if we don't have a Darkspawny DLC first.

Re: The Dragon Age Thread
Hmm. Was hoping for something more to do with the god storyline but it looks interesting enough. I hope they price it more sensibly than the last one though. £12 for a DLC was too high. I've only just picked it up as it was on sale on the PSN.

Re: The Dragon Age Thread
It wasn't anything close to a crazy theory though anyway. Since we had stuff like Bioware devs hinting darkspawny stuff several times over in MP livestreams.
Frankly, anything actually FROM Bioware (save for the Spoils of the Qunari recently) has been far more about Darkspawn and Deep Roads than the other rumor.
I still believe the other rumor is more-or-less correct though.
Looking much more forward to that one :).
Ok fine.
Releases in one week! Not buying it (won't get any DLC until they're all out and I maybe upgrade my PC next year?), but will gladly spoil myself.
'Tier 4' Focus:
Jaws of Hakkon - Open World
The Descent - Dungeon
??? - Story?

And I see Ogres are getting uglier with every iteration.
