NOOBCANNON's CITADEL DLC REVIEW. subject to change.
this is more or less a review in progress but, in a nutshell; the high point of the dlc for me was the beginning. after that, it slowly went downhill, but never completely collapsed.
THE GOOD:
the first 20 minutes or so; shepard on the run; tali and garrus trying to find me. wrex falling onto the shuttle. the first 20 minutes i had a non-stop smile on my face.
being able to have wrex as a squad mate. this was a nice surprise. i made sure to have him in my squad whenever possible to make up for his abscense in me2 and 3.
difficult combat, especially in the beginning. played on insane and it was very challenging (in a good way). but not having my trusty black widow X and armor made for an interesting twist.
THE BAD:
so i'm trying to go over it again in my head and i can't exactly figure it out. what was "clone shep's" goal? TO BE TEH NEW SHEPARD. and then do what? STEAL HIS SHIP. why did brooks give a ****? SHE'S....hold on how did she say it? .... oh yeah, "SINISTER".
i'm all for the banter and whatnot, but they layed it on WAY too much in this. the comic relief was so over the top i almost wanted to stop playing, or at least take a break. totally sucked the air out of the citadel archives mission.
tali "singing" during the romance/movie scene. it was embarrassing to watch. i wanted a renegade interupt asking her to never sing again and to tell her she sounded like a cat getting run over by car.
so i saved.... myself.... from.... my clone... so now i can get back to saving the gal..... oh, wait, party invitations? party supplies? but....... /facepalm
there are plenty of other things i liked/disliked in ME3: citadel, but these were some of the bigger ones.
i sound like i maybe hated the dlc, but i really didn't most of the negatives i had with it came in the second half so they are fresh in my head. as more and more people play it and discuss it i might change my review or add to it, but overall, i would wait before buying. they might have an all-in-one dlc pack or something down the road.
MY SCORE
5/10 (i tend to be harsh with my 1-10 scores. very rarely do i give anything, especially dlc, higher than a 7. LOTSB is the exception.)
OTHER SCORES
omega 4.5/10
leviathan 7/10
LOTSB 8/10
EDIT: one more point i want to make, regardless of what you think of this dlc , you have to admit, they put ALOT of effort into it. so what i want to know is how does a side mission dlc where you're fighting something as silly as "clone shep" get more energy and effort than the most important part of your trilogy: the ending? saying i'm dumbfounded is an understatement.

I can make a review with two words.
Potential, wasted.
