E3 2015 Thread

Includes the Nintendo and Bethesda stuff earlier. Will include the other presentations today, and further game coverage for the next few days.

Can include Mass Effect today but obviously its fine to put it in the main thread.

My boyfriend got Earthbound and the new SSB DLC ASAP haha. I do think it's pretty cool to add Ryu.

First time I've felt personally excited about a Bethesda presentation. I think it marks my near-full transition over from being a JRPG fan (teens to early twenties) to being a WRPG fan (rest of my twenties?).
I've never loved DOOM, but I admit that I want this one. Probably only if my friends get it. I'd be more enthused if it had co-op announced.
I liked the Dishonored 2 thing, but I won't get enthused until I finish the first game.
I'll wait and see about Battlecry.
Not interested in TESO until I feel like buying it (B2P).
The mobile games didn't annoy me, so there's that :P

But Fallout 4? I was more meh about it with the teaser trailer (I liked it, but it didn't change my position on the game itself), and I've never been a Fallout fan, but now I outright want to play this one. And that's because they focused on a feature list that appeals to me. More fluid voiced conversations, a (hopefully) useful and fun canine companion (though I hope this doesn't replace the possibility for other companions...), housing that... isn't just housing, but setting up the start of a friggin society, extensive crafting, etc. It just kept on going. I want it.

I'm quite impressed with fallout 4 as well. Never played the series, but moving from a mute to a voiced protagonist might be enough to make me invest.
Also if I was a 360 gamer I'd be very pleased by the new backwards compatibility for the Xbone.

It actually seems better than sony's expensive and convoluted streaming solution, which is annoying to have to admit for a lifelong Sony customer.

Overall: Sony ~ MS > sqenix ~ Ubi > nintendo > EA

sqenix was alright-ish, too much phone shit, maybe slighty better than ubi's
nintendo was just boring except maybe xenoblade which looked interesting, but OHMYGOD stfu about stupid mario and amiibo-crap
