Re: Mass Effect 3: Citadel Announced
The tone feels off, still. Not to mention if CP is correct (haha, no, really) then the time it pops up is in between the Citadel Coup and Cronos Station (actually, he said 'Earth', but this IS Chris Priestly).
Which means it'll potentially be set after Thessia and Sanctuary, two pretty brutal affairs that essentially scream 'time is running out'. Or worse yet, in between the two!
Just doesn't feel 'right'. There's R&R for a night, and there's going to a Casino and having all your old war buddies show up in the middle of a brutal war. Especially when those war buddies include:
1/ The leader of the Krogan
2/ The Shadow Broker
3/ A Quarian Admiral
4/ Another Spectre
Smells 'fishy'. It certainly won't be focused on this aspect, but it may be a 'cover' for the real mission.

It's notable that the only two past squaddies announced (apart from unofficial Zaeed) are Miranda and Wrex who are the least likely of all of them to turn up to a house party in my opinion. At lest some of the others were hanging around the citadel anyway, those two are busy.

Oh boy, I'll really help save the galaxy by installing a hottub in my flashy apartment instead of upgrading my weapons to level 10. Maybe a nice wine rack as well instead of buying spectre weapons.

Or help Shepard install a new Kamod that will wipe his butt for him. Also it comes with Facebook, Youtube and twitter at the touch of a button to instantly upload Shepard's spoils!

Good to see Shepard abusing his/her Spectre status by purchasing property on the Citadel right in the middle of a galactic war and refugee crisis.
There's people living in makeshift camps in the docks and the wards, and Shepard's buying an apartment. Go figure.

I hadn't even thought of it like that. Now I hate the idea even more. Refugees are being turned away due to space while the 1% lives it up.ElSuperGecko wrote:

Shepard won't even be living in the flat most of the time. It'll be sitting empty while customs is telling people there's no room left.

Re: Mass Effect 3: Citadel Announced
so much of (the little) we've been told about this DLC makes so little sense when you consider the time scale, the mounting desperation and the important and personal missions some of the characters (Wrex, Miranda etc) would be undertaking during that particular time.
As always though, Bioware are not telling us a fraction of what's involved here... we'll see the full picture in less than two weeks, I guess.

I hope you don't mind, but I've just raised this point on the stickied Citadel thread on the BSN. I'm curious to see what reaction it gets.

On top of that my Shepard already has a retirement home for later.

I am not a big fan of clevernoob, but he has summed up pretty much everything along with his forum posters, there is to about this DLC's over all vibe.

All of clevernoobs videos could easily be cut in half if he didn't ramble and repeat the same thing 12 times.

TL:DR version:
We have covered everything in this forum. Its more elaboration and just gives us a good idea that we are not the only ones feeling it in general about this DLC.

Re: Mass Effect 3: Citadel Announced
He actually blames the fans for this...
He basically says: "if more people listened to me and not bought any DLC's bw would have done IT" "we went down too easy" "the fans could have done more"
stfu.

Re: Mass Effect 3: Citadel Announced
wasn't shepard the one who said. "i'll rest when i'm dead".
also someone asked "what about thane?" and merrizan said she couldn't say because of spoilers, but thane is dead after the cerberus coup, which they've said is the earliest you can start the dlc sooooooooo, wtf?
also priestly said the dlc is available after the coup and before london..... london? so wait i can have drinks and celebrate with my buddies even though the citadel has been hijacked and taken to earth? rekindle old romances even though earth is burning right below me?
oh and think about miranda and what she has going on....
