I read somewhere that at the last PPV they actively insulted PPV buyers for not using the network.
Wow.
I read the same thing. Something along the lines of Lawler saying you'd have to be an idiot to pay PPV prices when you can get the Network for £9.99 instead...

Raw is being taped in Liverpool, UK today. Apparently, the crowd is completely chaotic.

Indeed.

Not sure if that will have made the air, of course. Apparently WWE covered up all WWE Network logos on the live shows as well. LOL.

You could hear them chanting it when the Authority was doing their segment. Stephanie even acknowledged it.

It's funny looking back at posts and stuff of wrestling sites from early in the year. Sooo many people thought it Punk walking out was so obviously a work that they mocked anyone who even gave consideration to it being legit.

"Video: Hulk Hogan Says He's Training To Main Event WrestleMania"
I cannot overstress this. Hogan... Fuck. You.
The Crock doing it is bad enough but at least the Crock is still in great shape, young enough, and can go. This baldass bastard got a surgery-requiring injury getting up off his couch and that was like ten goddamn years ago! For even thinking about trying to hog the WM main event he should be kicked in the balls so hard that he hits escape velocity. My god, the sheer douchiness.

The guy just can't give it up, Brother. Let me tell you something, Jack, this dude is the definition of attention whore.
But seriously...he can barely walk, I don't know how he'll ever get cleared.
In other news, Lesnar has been added to the show I'm going to in December, I'll try to smuggle in a brick to throw at his head.

Re: WWE Thread
The merchandising department was told not to work on anything new for Lesnar, and anything earmarked for Lesnar but not yet made was to be moved to someone else (Shaemus). Short of Lesnar Heyman appearing on TNA, that's about the clearest sign they can give that Lesnar won't be resigning next year.
Good. It fucking serves you right, WWE. Fool me once (2004), shame on you. Fool me twice (now), I prove I'm a fucking moron who deserves it.

Re: WWE Thread
WWE is contacting all the dirt sheets that ran the story and refuting the claim that Lesnar is leaving soon. I have been reading these stupid dirt sheets for 15 years and I have never seen them do anything like this. At most, if someone mentions a rumor during an interview they'll say it's stupid and untrue and play it off like "duh." (which it usually is). Even when huge bombshells hit the dirt sheets, WWE would stay silent and not acknowledge them. For them to go around frantically trying to correct "misinformation"? Me thinks the lady doth protest too much. And of course, it has the opposite effect as they intended. I wasn't sure about this rumor before. But now. Now? Now I'd bet the farm on it.

Re: WWE Thread
Lesnar makes his return to TV after three months, and he didn't even bother to bring the blet with him. Unreal (brought it later, but people were screaming "where's the belt?" during his first appearance).
He also looked noticeably slimmer. UFC looks like a lock, which is kind of puzzling to me.

2014 Royal Rumble: Fans are all behind DB, but WWE Stays The Course™ and handwaves Bryan while giving the victory to random untalented, undeserving big man because big man. Fans are enraged and do not accept untalented, undeserving big man. McMahon baffled.

Anyone else see a pattern here?

Re: WWE Thread
What makes it worse is they insulted our intelligence by using The Rock to try and get Reigns over. Even the 5 year-olds in the front row knew what was going on. Pathetic.
Reigns can't go ten minutes with Show without sucking wind. He's going to have a stroke against Lesnar.

Vince McMahon said the reactions to RR were a positive thing, because controversy is always good. I seem to recall another man who obliterated a billion dollar wrestling franchise with a similar philosophy...

Re: WWE Thread
Vince has fully entered senility. He's blinded by Reign's lineage and his look, not to mention his own over-inflated ego. Vince has to have constant control over everything, it''s been reported that he re-writes scripts mere hours before Raw goes live.
Now, for the second straight year, they are scrambling to put out the fire because they made a poor choice at the RR. And it all could be avoided if they had direction and good booking to take advantage of their talent.
Not even The Rock could protect Reigns after the RR.

Re: WWE Thread
First up, that Rock/Roman gif is the second best thing to come out of the Royal Rumble, narrowly behind the awesomeness that was Cena/Rollins/Lesnar.
Secondly, a Reigns/Lesnar WrestleMania main event has the potential to be Goldberg/Lesnar 2. The best thing WWE can do now is throw BOTH Bryan and Rollins into the mix and turn it into a Fatal 4 Way.
Finally, how about that motherflippin' Kevin Owens? BAH GAWD.
