Just finished Shizune's Act 3 again Heart

and I've figured out where most of the problems in her route come from, though they're fairly minor.

The closing scene of Act 2 is Hisao asking Shizune out. It's a great scene, the problem is after that the story seems to forget this ever happened, and never mentions or hints that they're officially dating. Hisao even introduces himself to Jigoro as one of her classmates, no mention of being her boyfriend anywhere. All of that doesn't show up until after their have sex the first time, then words like "boyfriend" being used. It's almost like the scene where he asks her out was added as an afterthought.

Hideaki. Is the most pointless character ever. While Jigoro is an arrogant douchebag and annoying as hell, he's very important to the story and Shizune's character. Hideaki on the other hand, could be removed from the story entirely with no bad side effects. Unlike Akira he's completely bland and has zero positive qualities, and unlike Jigoro he doesn't add anything to the story or Shizune's character.

Shizune lacks screen time in the middle of Act 3. This could be 100% fixed by removing all of Hideaki's scenes.

Still an amazing story though Love

Yeah, I never really got the point of Hideaki. And it also seems unlikely that someone like Jigoro would allow his son to wear girls clothes.

I think so too, but it's because her last act was very quickly rewritten very close to the game being done. In the original version, Misha committed suicide by stepping in front of a bus, and then if you got the bad ending, Shizune also killed herself.

I can live with an unpolished last act, since I didn't have to have that happen.
