From what I can see without breaking my "no reading IP posts" rule, he's making a big deal out of the zip thing.

It's mostly an age thing. Zip was the standard file format when the Internet was young. Rar didn't catch on until later years. So I associate compression files with zip. Same reason some people refer to a product by a specific brand name. Like any type of cola being called "Coke."

On a related note, IP is a pedantic twat.

If you'd actually checked to see how the block works on this board, you'd know that it hides posts by blocked posters and leaves a single line saying that you've blocked a post and you can click that line to view it anyway.
